When Should I Consider Tire Replacement?
Your tires serve as the primary connection between your vehicle and the road surface. As the tire tread diminishes over time, their ability to provide adequate traction in wet or slippery conditions diminishes as well. The deteriorated condition of your tires can significantly affect your vehicle’s handling and safety, making it crucial to replace them when necessary.
Repairable
A punctured tire can be repaired under the following conditions:
- The puncture is located in the central portion of the tire tread and not on the shoulder or sidewall.
- The tire’s tread depth exceeds the recommended minimum height of 2/32 inch (1.6mm).
- The puncture did not happen within another previously repaired patch.
- Neither the tire sidewall nor the shoulder is damaged.
- There are no signs of aging or deterioration on the tire.
- The tire is not a Run Flat type.
Non-Repairable
If the puncture is situated in the outer tread block or sidewall of the tire, if it exceeds the standard-sized plug capacity, or if it occurs at an unusual angle, we will opt for tire replacement.
